
More than a year after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention first recommended everyone wear masks to protect against COVID-19, they are now recommending that fully vaccinated people can go maskless. This news is welcomed by many, but it does come with some exceptions and a lot of questions. Dr. Frita Fisher, Founder, and President of Midtown Atlanta Nephrology, joined “Start Your Day” with Sharon Reed and Mike Hill to discuss the news. Dr. Fisher said she understands the data and why the CDC made the announcement. “If you’re fully vaccinated, not only are you protected, but you’re likely not to spread it,” Dr. Fisher says.
