Pervis Payne has spent 30 years living on death row.
He has an intellectual disability but was sentenced to death anyway after being convicted of a double murder back in 1987.
Last month, Payne’s death sentence was vacated and now a judge is deciding whether he’ll ever be able to walk out of prison a free man.
Kelley Henry, Payne’s attorney and veteran death penalty lawyer joins Yodit Tewolde on “Making the Case” to discuss how he is doing and the latest in his case.
All this and more on “Making the Case.”
