A week after President Joe Biden gave a strong speech about voting rights, there hasn’t been any progress on dealing with voting restrictive laws in Republican-led states and the filibuster.
Biden’s speech did not include a specific plan to confront this issue. During that time, Texas Democrats headed to D.C. to plead with House members to pass comprehensive federal voting rights legislation to enhance voting.
Democratic Senator Amy Klobuchar will be holding a voting rights hearing in Atlanta, Georgia on Monday. She joins Charles Blow on “Prime” to discuss the upcoming hearing.
